Ash Brown:- G,day men. After xrays and m.r.i I am left with completely torn through (grade 3) medial and posterail ligament with bone bruising. Surgery is unlikely but will find out on monday. Would like to sincerly thank Kim for her great help and knowledge on sunday. Also thanks to big Phil for helping me from the ground. Speacial thank you to everyone at the club for what I think was a very successful year with the birth of a new masters side and the clubs first final, which can also be improved on next year.

Benno:- G'day boys. Thanks for the well wishers and thoughts. Just back from Epworth where they did an ultrasound - they suggested waiting a few days for swelling to settle. Fairly nasty medial ligament, but still attached to the bone which is the main thing. Some localised fluid as expected, but otherwise it seems OK (no structural or acl damage). Still very sore - they suggested 6-8 weeks recovery (just in time to run amock in Cairns).

SB:- Sure Woodsy...we have booked the Box Hill Community Art Centre for the 17th September. It is probably a finals night so I will hook up the laptop to the TV and put it on the projector. We will do a vote count of both sides, goal kickers and a host of other awards. Looking at getting it catered for,hopefully about $30 per person, BYO drinks should help keep the cost down. The cost will vary depending on the amount of people

Nick S:- Great Day! Thanks SB and all the other hard working volunteers. The Lightning Premiership was a really great way to finish the Masters year. (perhaps also the League will now be embarrrased into doing something for the Masters finals.) Thanks also to Chris and the BHN Masters team for the chance to play this year it was much appreciated.
Ironic that we were all walking around after 2 games drinking Herp's "sorry I got sent off" Crownies. Since we could have played a 3rd game if it wasn't for a rash of 50s and send offs. Hmn we have an anger problem...

SB:- Sorry Nick, cannot agree with the anger problem, we have a shutting your mouth problem. We have had one send off for the year in both sides due to a high tackle, 3 for telling the umpire off. Total of 4 out of 20 odd games. People absolutley need to keep their emotions in check, and they know it and we as a club need to help them do it. We will cop any infringment against an umpire, all players have been made aware that this is not acceptable and deserve what they get. This has cost goals, but the umpires are the umpires and are do a good job, we as 40 odd year old men need to pullour collective heads in if this is the case. I cannot agree with the anger statement, and it is certainly NOT a violence issue. Just a clarification :)

Where r the goals ?:- According to sporting pulse none of our players kicked a goal against Dingley. I know we kicked a lot of points but this appears a little incorrect. Then it jumps to the DC game. No record of the Eastern game in comp stats.
No big deal, but Hoody could lose the goal kicking for the comp as I think he is being robbed around 3 goals.

We can not enter the change rooms until it is cleared of players from the last final of the day. This is to do with the 'Working with Children' laws.

Suggest you arrive about 4:20pm so you can find a park and allow Kim to do some of the more basic strapping.
If there is still a gate keeper trying to solicit entrance fee, just explain you are there for the Super's night game, not the junior finals.

Just spent an hour and half walking the mutt on Elgar. It is in the best condition it has been in for a very long time. Why did they not want to trade the home game for next years game? I'll go and have a squiz at that ground this arvo.

Clavical:- It is with deep regret that I announce my immediate retirement
From Box Hill North FC Supers / Masters.
As many of you know, I have been struggling with back and shoulder pain
Through the year and although I would love to finish out the year my
Body will not permit it. My family too will need me into the coming weeks
and months with Nicoles Mum being treated for an aggressive cancer.
I am eternally great full to Woodsy for taking time out of his busy life
to start the Supers and pleased that my banged up career as a hack
continued into the Masters with Sb’s ongoing efforts. To all those at the
club, I hope you understand and appreciate what you have because the
time does come when your time will end. If not for giving people like this
we would have had nothing.
I will not be lost to the club though and intend to attend many functions
Into the future as I follow the clubs ongoing success and look forward to
the Supers upcoming finals campaign. In the fading light of your careers,
gentlemen, grasp the moment.
I know I may not have made a huge mark but I definitely found my place.

You will be hitting pads and the like. Much as the Junior lads do on the other ground often.

On Thurs night when we selected the teams, Supers had a bench of 4.
The Masters had a bench of 6 probables.
I spoke to George and Warren while waiting to read the teams out. George said he would try but may have to spend time with family before working on Sun night. Waz was unsure but had commitments that made it certain he could not make it for Masters.
I suggested we could do with back up on the bench if he could possibly make it to the Gully.
Friday night I got a call from Hersh saying his weekend commitment had been cancelled and if I needed him he was available.

Army:- At that stage my belief is I have 4 definite on bench plus one possible. With still a full probable bench in Maters.
I of course was happy to have him back in my team for a must win match.
Come Sunday morning I got several withdrawals all from the Masters. This was compounded by a few others being no shows.
I can't believe anyone would expect me to go and tell a player he had to be removed from Supers on the day of the match; and it would have meant penalising someone who was there early to support the Masters.
I know what it took for Waz to turn up on Sunday, and I appreciate that he did it for me as a favour. The fact he started for Tilch, who was detained, and performed so well in that important 1st term was a great bonus for the team and club as a whole.
I hate that the Masters had to struggle without a bench till Smitty turned up at half time. We as selectors do everything we can to try and confirm player availability prior to teams being read out. We then try to keep as much of a balance as possible in both teams. We don't always get it right, but trust me our intentions are honorable.
The curtain behind all this is a possible supers finals berth. I was given a mandate to win games. That will always be my governing conscience.

Clavical:- Been on the web looking at hotels... looked at the MERCURY CAIRNS HARBOURSIDE HOTEL.. Doubles with Breakfast 70 each per night. Close to casino for those that dabble, virtually on the beach and mentioned a $50 food and beverage credit for the hotel during your stay.
