Armie:- Due to an unusually high number of unavailable players this week I have decided to make a personal plea to all past members. Any player who could possibly find the time to play one more game for the club this Sunday at 12:45pm would be hugely appreciated. Our 2 games after this are double headers at home, traditionally much easier to get numbers up. I promise this will be the only game this year I will ask you to help keep our 2 teams on the paddock. Even just wearing the kit and standing still all day on the oval is a massive plus as opposed to having 12 or 14 players. If you can possibly help out it is preferable we know by about 8pm tonight so as we can commit to the weekends game. Text your availability to 0435 760 585.
Also could the player leadership get training started tonight, as I will make a recruiting drive at Whitehorse Pioneers and Eley Park on my way to training.

SB:- In all the hullabaloo, we have missed the fact that last Sunday against the Northern Saints, Matt Freeman played his 50th game of Supers Football.
After an inauspicious start in his first training run where he broke his leg, he has gone on to be one of the stalwarts of the club. Great player, excellent team mate and organizer and volunteer without equal. Treasurer for about 5 years into the bargain. Matt puts an ENORMOUS amount of time (and often money) into the place and we would be worse off without him.
I spoke to the Pres a few weeks ago and we decided to recognize the milestone at the next double header home game. See you there

Armie:- Frosty is home and fine. Probably coming down with the flu but did the right thing in getting checked. Will now have full blood tests and the like over next week thru GP.
While I am on the board let me thank all for their support while I was in Hospital. I will be at training on Thursday and definitely Sunday at Saints. Hersh will be my fill in this week and be addressing the team etc while I just hover in background for this game. Leadership group will again take training on thursday.

Whilst we are on the subject of getting a health check, from a financial point of view might be time to look at life insurance. I known I have sorted this out over the last couple of week. You can generally get premium to be paid out of your superannuation - talk to your financial planner. Especially important to those with families.

SB:- Pete did have a heart attack. He is still in hospital. He will have ongoing cardiomyopethy / heart distress. Having an angiogram tomorrow. specialist said his right side of heart has scarring & artery may need a stent. He looks better but that's the drugs. He still has High BP & fluid on lungs. Clots in lung. Fluid in his legs is giving the hospital concern. May be wed b4 he is home. Thanks all who have sent messages & well wishes.

Armie:- Hi gents. Interesting results on the weekend meant we lost and went from 4th to 3rd on the ladder.
I have thought it through and come to the conclusion that losing is not a long term viable stratergy.
There are probably 30 players under consideration for selection in our first 22 next game. This is very healthy. We must however advise that where 2 players are on equal footing, training attendence will play a part in selection.
At some stage I expect the club to enforce a subs payment rule as well.
