Happy 2012 everyone - 2012 will be a winning year for the BHN Football club and it starts now
We were nearly there in 2011 but who wants to be nearly there? The focus for preseason will be on fitness and an early start and some runs on the board and be of great benefit where it counts - finals
• Preseason starts Monday 23rd at 6.30 pm – we don’t have access to rooms so bring what you need
• Focus will be on fitness and getting rid of those Christmas Kilos
• February Training Camp – dates tentatively 17th – 19th Feb (venue to be finalised)
• We need numbers – so please do your bit to recruit some talent – I will have flyers on Monday night – please put then in useful places – if everyone managed to “seduce” one person we would have full benches and those fresh legs may be just what we need to win a flag.
• So let’s get stuck into some training and set our sights high. Let’s win that elusive flag and have a lot of fun in the process

So this is just a little note to wish everyone connected with BHN Supers/Masters a joyous and safe Christmas season and the very best for 2012. Clubs like ours don’t just happen, it takes a lot of hard work both on and off the field so whether you’ve run out and given it your all on the field, been involved with the coaching and match day arrangements, been on committee or just worked tirelessly behind the scenes the club extends its most sincere thanks. A special note of gratitude needs to go to our own Anthony Freeman (SB) as without his guts and determination both on and off the field this club wouldn’t the club it is today
2011 was a very exciting year for us – nearly there I say so let’s make 2012 the winning year and support each other on and off the field to gain that elusive flag and have a lot of fun in the process. An email is on the way with a sneek peek at whats in store for 2012

GC:- Cheers Mr President. I echo your thoughts and hope all have a good and safe Xmas. I will be laying off the drinks and food as I prepare for a breakout 2012. My expectation is that I will hit the first training night at a slim 81kgs, completing the Tan in 13 minutes and breaking 13 seconds for the 100m. Just 15kg, 5 minutes and 4 seconds to drop.

By unofficial, we mean that the coach wont be taking it, but we have access to the ovals and the cricket club will be kind enough to sell us beer after our run. We can get to the footies, but need someone to step up and run it. I am not able to be there due to children's commitments, so dont rely on ME!!! Any-more, at all, OK?

Gus:- Are the sessions going to be on Wednesdays ongoing? That's a cricket training night for me, and whilst my athleticism is legendary, I don't think I'll be able to do cricket and footy training simultaneously. I'll be there though, and encourage everyone to drink as much beer as possible. The cricket club often does meals on Wednesday nights, so everyone is encouraged to eat too. I might have picked up a recruit in the form of Mr Paul Comer.

SB:- Hello all.
Final details for the footy trip. Bus will be at the ground next Friday 21st October at approx. 10 am. Be there before 11 please. We estimate that it is a three slab trip. Arrive at Albury to stay at the Hovell Tree Hotel for the Friday night, which will be full of fun and frivolity. Saturday, we head off to the races with a reserved table in the beer garden and another night of adventure before heading back on Sunday. Should be back in Melbourne around dinner.
About $70 for the bus (might be extra depending on petrol, but not more than $80). $60 each night for accomm and $20 for race day entry and table. Count on $200 for necessities and then whatever you spend up there. Countdown is on

Cadel:- For thoughs people keen to get the legs going again just for 1 day. Nov 13 is the bike ride for East Link. I think we should get a group together to do the 35km ride. On any reseaonable bike this is quite an easy ride. Pretty sure ride starts at springvale rd and heads out bound and then returns. Check this out through the Eastlink web site. Good to catch up and maybe a few cool one afterwards to work off any fitness we may gain.

I have been trying to get a group booking for accommodation with no luck. There are still plenty of rooms available according to Wotif, but not all together.
Might I suggest we pair up and sort out our own.
Lets aim for Albury rather than Wodonga and as close to the city centre as possible. I will take care of bus and races
